La Morgagni
Three Mediterranean inspirations live together in the depths of my very existence: Andalusian, Italian and French. They permeated my sensitivity.
Born from professional artists (classical, jazz and gypsy) of Italian origin for many generations, it took me years to realize that these sounds were flowing intensely through my being. A performance at l’Opéra-Comique in Paris became a revelation for me, I suddenly knew it when I saw the actors: “One day, I will sing among them”. I was barely ten years old.
Then, my ear continued to shape while listening to classical and jazz music. At the age of 14, the Bossa Nova burst in my house and set new standards made of rhythmic and poetry. I uplifted. For a while, I went deeper into a world made of jazz and gospel, searching for its peculiarity. The experience was not conclusive at all but it did not dishearten me, I nourished my passion by taking singing lessons.
A special encounter was conclusive for me, although I did not realize it at that precise moment: my encounter with CORNELIUS CLAUDIO KREUSCH, Steinway artist, composer and producer. His music was and is the seed he planted in me, seed which still grows and grows.
